Mater Private Nursing Recruitment Open Day

The Mater Private is holding an Open Day on Saturday May 27th for General Nurses (across all specialties), Cardiology Nurses and Cardiology CNMs.

Senior Nurse Managers, Clinical Facilitators and the HR Team will be on hand to give you information about the positions available and working in the Mater Private. The Cardiology Nursing Team will host three speakers who will give talks on the Cardiology specific roles and the Cardiology Department including Cath Lab, Cardiothoracic and Urgent Cardiac Care.

A tour of the Hospital and our state of the art Cath Lab will be facilitated on the day.

Galway Radium Week

The Department of Physics, NUIG in conjunction with the department of Medical Physics and Bioengineering, Galway University Hospital and the Department of Medical Physics, Mater Private Hospital will run Galway Radium Week from 18th to 22nd April 2016.

The course will be held in the National University of Ireland, Galway and is ideally suited to physicists and other healthcare professionals who will be involved in the delivery of 223Ra therapy and wish to gain in depth knowledge and practical experience of the use of unsealed source therapy, in particular with alpha emitters.

The course will include lectures, practical sessions and a final exam, with ample opportunity for discussion and networking.
